Given the inherently ecologically destructive nature of civilization, we must do what we can to preserve habitat, biodiversity, and wild lands for the future. With the 2016 US presidential election, moreover, we are faced with the risk of rolling back commitments to combat climate change.

We must pursue better understanding of ecological issues, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect wildlife and habitat, and promote programs addressing the size and growth of the human population. It is vital as well to work toward safely decommissioning all nuclear reactors to avoid leaving a legacy of radioactive contamination to our descendents.
